Brief Overview of the Poster Sessions at CORA 2023

E-Poster Discussion Presentations

  • How long: 5 min slots (3-4 min for each presentation followed by 1-2 min for Q&A)
  • Where: E-Poster Discussion sessions will take place in front of the two E-Poster stations onsite. View the program to find your station, presentation date and time.
  • How: Presenters will use the 3-page E-Poster presentations they have uploaded* to the CORA 2023 E-Poster Gallery. The slides will be prepared on the E-Poster station screens prior to the session.
    *If you have not uploaded your 3-page E-Poster presentation by the specified deadline, please contact us urgently at CORA_abstracts@kenes.com or approach the Registration Desk onsite at least 2 hours before your session.
  • Do I need to also bring a printed poster: Yes. E-Poster Discussion presenters are kindly requested to print and bring a 1-page portrait-oriented traditional poster of their abstract(s) selected for E-Poster Discussion. While the printed posters will not be used during the actual presentation slot, hanging your traditional printed poster in the onsite Poster Gallery will ensure higher visibility for your work. Designated poster board numbers for each printed poster will be sent to all presenters right before the Congress.

 

Poster Viewing Walk Presentations

  • How long: 5 min slots (3-4 min for each presentation followed by 1-2 min for Q&A)
  • Where: Poster Viewing Walk sessions will happen in the onsite Poster Area. Presenters will gather in a group and walk from one poster board to the next in the order of their posters within the specific session. View the program to find your presentation date and time. Designated poster board numbers for each printed poster will be sent to all presenters right before the Congress.
  • How: Presenters will use their 1-page portrait-oriented printed posters during the presentation. Please print and bring your poster(s) to the Congress venue as there will be no printing facilities onsite.
  • Do I need to also upload an E-Poster: Yes. Poster Viewing Walk presenters are kindly requested to upload an electronic version of their posters (1-page E-Poster). While the E-Posters will not be used during the actual presentation slot, uploading them to the CORA 2023 E-Poster Gallery will make them visible on the Congress App and onsite E-Poster stations, and will ensure higher visibility for your work.

All poster presenters are required to:

Poster presenters are expected to attend the Congress in person in Turin, Italy. There is no virtual participation option for CORA 2023. If you are unable to attend the Congress in person, please immediately contact the Secretariat at CORA_abstracts@kenes.com. Please also notify us in case of a change in the presenting author.

Poster presenters are kindly requested to refer to the abstract acceptance notification or CORA 2023 Registration page for registration details.

IMPORTANT: Abstract presenters who have not completed their registration or have not emailed the Congress Secretariat to confirm any possible special circumstances by 14 December 2022 (Wednesday), 23:59 CET (for regular abstract submission) and by 22 February 2023 (Wednesday), 23:59 CET (for late-breaking abstract submission), will be removed from the Congress’ scientific program.

All abstract presenters (Poster Viewing and E-Poster Discussion) are required to prepare and bring a printed poster following the guidelines below.

IMPORTANT: Please note, that you are required to print and bring your own poster. The Congress does not offer printing facilities onsite.

In addition to the above, E-Poster Discussion presenters are required to:

The presentations of all registered CORA 2023 E-Poster Discussion presenters will be available for viewing via the CORA mobile application accessible to all registered Congress delegates for up to 3 months after the Congress.

In addition to the above, Poster Viewing presenters are required to:

All Poster Viewing presenters are required to prepare and upload a 1-page E-Poster (e.g. an electronic version of their printed poster) following the guidelines below. E-Posters of all registered CORA 2023 Poster Viewing presenters will be available for viewing via the CORA mobile application accessible to all registered Congress delegates for up to 3 months after the Congress.

Printed Poster Guidelines

  • UPDATED GUIDELINES: Presenting authors of posters selected for POSTER VIEWING are kindly requested to refer to the Poster Viewing Guidelines section for updated guidelines and assigned presentation slots. 
  • Designated poster board numbers will be sent to all registered poster presenters closer to the Congress.
  • Poster boards will be located in the Poster Area and presenting authors will receive further details on the mounting and removal times closer to the Congress.
  • Presenters are required to print and bring their own posters. The Congress does not offer printing facilities onsite.

Technical Specifications for Printed Posters

Please prepare your poster to fit the dimensions below.

  • The dimensions of the poster boards are PORTRAIT.
  • Posters should be prepared in English.
  • It is recommended that posters are prepared on one sheet of material in portrait format.
  • The recommended dimensions for your poster are 90 cm wide x 120 cm high (36 x 48 inches).
  • Allocate the top of the poster for the title and authors as stated on the submitted abstract.
  • The text, illustrations, etc. should be bold enough to be read from a distance of two meters (six feet).
  • Tape/pins and other technical equipment will be available onsite for the mounting of posters. Please refer to the Poster Help Desk in the Poster Area onsite for any questions upon arrival.
  • You can download a portrait poster sample from HERE. The sample contains layout and arrangement tips but it is not mandatory to follow them. Before printing, please double-check the dimensions with your print service provider to avoid low print quality and blurry graphics.
  • Please note that you are required to print and bring your own poster.

E-Poster Discussions

  • E-Poster Discussions will take place during designated E-Poster Discussion sessions. Please refer to the scientific program for more details on the session timing.
  • The discussion sessions will be moderated by a chairperson.
  • E-Poster Discussion presenters are requested to arrive at their stations on time.
  • E-Poster Discussion presenters are requested to prepare a 3-page E-Poster presentation based on their poster. The 3-page E-Poster is in addition to the traditional printed poster preparation. Please see below for more details.

 

What to Prepare? 

Presenters whose abstracts were selected for E-Poster Discussion at the CORA 2023 Congress are requested to prepare the following:

  1. A traditional printed poster for the Poster Area at the Congress venue. Please prepare and bring your poster following the Printed Poster Guidelines.
  2. A 3-page E-Poster presentation following the below structure. The 3-page E-Poster will be used during your short oral presentation in your designated E-Poster Discussion session. The E-Poster presentation upload should be done in advance of the Congress via the E-Poster upload portal no later than 15 February 2023.

 

IMPORTANT: The E-Poster Discussion presentations will take place in front of the E-Poster Stations where the authors will present their 3-page E-Posters. The printed posters of E-Poster Discussion presenters serve only the purpose of ensuring higher visibility of your work within the physical Poster Area and will not be used for presentation.

 

E-Poster Presentation Structure

The presentation time for abstracts selected for E-Poster Discussion is 5 minutes including a short Q&A. Please prepare your short oral presentation to fit within 3 to 4 minutes allowing 1-2 minutes for questions from the audience.

The three E-Poster pages you will use during your short oral presentation should be divided into:

  1. Aim, Methods and Materials
  2. Results
  3. Conclusions

 

Technical Specification for E-Poster Preparation

Please upload your E-Poster as a 3-page PDF file in LANDSCAPE orientation.

  • Language: All E-Posters should be prepared in English
  • File Format: PDF format – 3 pages
  • Orientation:  Create your poster in PowerPoint and save it as a PDF file
  • Ratio: 16:9. Click here for information on how to change the ratio to 16:9 in PowerPoint
  • Font Types: Arial, Calibri, Verdana, Times New Roman or Helvetica
  • Font Size: Refrain from using smaller font sizes to ensure that session attendees can read the information easily during your presentation. Recommended minimal font size is 16~20px.
  • Hyperlinks, animated images, animations and videos are not permitted and will be non-functioning
  • QR Codes are not permitted
  • Images and tables: At least 200 dpi – good picture quality is essential
  • When inserting images, photos, tables, etc., please use simple copy-paste and do not use embedded documents – the system does not support embedded files – audio or video
  • Avoid overlapping objects and layers – only the final view/status will be visible
  • When saving your PDF please do not use symbols or special characters (ie. +/@/ü) in the file name
  • Please do not use headers and footers
  • File Size: Less than 5 MB

E-Poster Presentation Upload

  • E-Poster Discussion presenters will be contacted via email by the CORA 2023 Secretariat with a dedicated link to upload their presentation(s). Upload deadline: 15 February 2023.
  • By uploading your E-Poster presentation, you agree to have it published in the official Congress publications if any, and on the Congress website and mobile app for the duration of 3 months following the CORA 2023 Congress.
  • 24hrs after uploading, you can log back in and check how the presentation will appear on the online platform. If you wish to make changes, please use the “Edit Files” Button. If you establish any technical issues, please contact us at CORA_abstracts@kenes.com.
  • Only E-Poster presentations of registered presenters will be displayed in the E-Poster Gallery on the CORA 2023 mobile application. The E-Posters will be available on the app to all registered delegates for up to 3 months after the Congress.

Poster Viewing Walks

UPDATED GUIDELINES:

  • Abstracts selected for POSTER VIEWING are assigned presentation slots in designated Poster Viewing Walk sessions.
  • Session structure: Each session is one-hour long and consists of up to 12 poster-viewing presentations. Each presenter has 5 minutes in total (3-4 minutes for a presentation and 1-2 minutes for a short Q&A). The sessions take place in front of the physical printed posters and are led by a chairperson. After each presentation, the group moves to the next poster board.
  • Session dates and times: 16 March (Thursday), 15:00 – 16:00  |  17 March (Friday), 11:50-12:50  |  18 March (Saturday), 12:10-13:10
  • Information about the assigned presentation slots was sent to all presenting authors of abstracts accepted for Poster Viewing. If you cannot locate the email from the Congress Secretariat, please contact us at CORA_abstracts@kenes.com.

 

What to Prepare? 

Presenters whose abstracts were selected for Poster Viewing at the CORA 2023 Congress are requested to prepare the following:

  1. A traditional printed poster for the Poster Area at the Congress venue. Please prepare and bring your poster following the Printed Poster Guidelines.
  2. An electronic version of your poster (e.g. an E-Poster) saved as a 1-page PDF file. The E-Poster upload should be done in advance of the Congress via the E-Poster upload portal no later than 15 February 2023.
